The Volkswagen Bus: Still Beloved and Coveted

As a teen, I spent many hours on a Volkswagen Bus owned by my family. We slept on the beach for weeks on end and loved that bus for its ability to take us on magical trips.

Here are some cute images of volkswagen buses that are free to use for your website or blog.

Below these images is an article in the Smithsonian that explains how the bus became such an emblem of protest.

How the Volkswagen Bus Became a Symbol of Counterculture

Seventy years ago, the German car manufacturer started producing the Microbus—the first van and a striking vehicle for protest

Not Only Captures The Eye But Also The Heart

I was looking at some vintage artwork last night and found some real gems. We search more than 250 sources to find vintage images that not only catch our eye but also capture our hearts. They make us really feel something.

This one reminds me so much of one of my favorite artists: Rembrandt

Creator: Artist: Jongkind, Johan Barthold; Gender: Male; Birth: 1819; Death: 1891; Birthplace: Lattrop (Overijssel, Netherlands); Date: 1865

While the first work of art is a very dark one, this one relies on light to make the mood:

Creator: Artist: Little, John Wesley; Gender: Male; Birth: 1867; Death: 1923; Birthplace: Forksville (Pennsylvania, United States); Date: 1910-20

Real World Problems

Oh, boy, those real world problems. I'm so glad I don't have to wear panty hose anymore. I used to wear it to school everyday. It was a requirement.

Oh Goody! An icemaker!

It must've been such a thrill when families were able to get their own ice without buying it off a truck like the old days.
